My Mission

My mission is to be the person that I needed when I was younger.

I needed someone to support me academically, but I also needed someone to remind me that wellbeing comes first.

Education isn't just Maths and English; it is personal growth.

My Values

Acceptance

Feel seen

You are you. I am me.

We see the world, process information and tackle problems differently.

You never have to be anyone but yourself in lessons; your mind makes you, you.

Structure

Feel supported

From consistent weekly lesson times to wellbeing check-ins at the start of every lesson, you can count on a structured learning routine, which lowers stress and cognitive load.

Growth

Feel successful

Seedling

Grades don't matter; growth does. In lessons, we will celebrate every positive step, turn mistakes into data and panic into progress. You will build independence, confidence and resilience.

How Fulfil Tutoring Started

When I was younger, I struggled going to school every day. I didn't recognise it at the time, but the sensory overstimulation, the perplexing social interactions, and the constant anxiety eventually became too much.

When I was 12, I walked into my Year 8 maths classroom and developed an instant headache. It didn't go away. Looking back now, it's easy to see that it was austistic burnout.

Even after I was diagnosed, I couldn't go back to school. Technically, it was 'Emotionally Based School Avoidance' (EBSA). But to me it was more than "school anxiety"; it was physical panic that forced me to run to safety.

I tried everything: returning to my original secondary school, a SEND provision, and a local school 5 minutes from home. Long story short, nothing worked, even though I loved to learn.

The turning point came when I found the right support. Supported at home during lockdown and then at an online school for A-levels, I finally had a space that stimulated my mind without triggering my anxiety. The result? I achieved straight Grade 9s at GCSE and A*s at A-Level.

I’ve always known I wasn't alone. School doesn't fit for so many students, but this shouldn't mean that young people miss out on education and support. Even in school, young people don't always get the support they need. I started Fulfil Tutoring to be the person I needed, to provide the support when the system doesn't.
